Google provides new media tools on election

With Canada in the midst of a federal election, Google has come up with a couple of imaginative tools to shed light on the campaign.

In a post on Google’s Public Policy blog,  into how the party leaders use blogs, news sites and other online sources to stay informed.

The site also shows what stories leading Canadian journalists are reading and sharing on Google Reader.

Google has also developed a Canadian version of its Google In Quotes. This offers a way to compare what the candidates competing to be Canada’s next prime minister have said on a wide range of issues.

The two tools are among the most innovative ideas in media coverage of this election.
